Dining at Glin Castle
Dining at Glin Castle will be a highlight of your stay. Our talented chef Eoin Ruane and his team cook to the highest standards. Menus are carefully planned with vegetables, herbs and fruit organically grown in the castle’s walled garden. The dining room seats up to thirty two guests. Always with flowers on the table, its walls are hung with characterful family portraits. Candles twinkle in tall silver candelabra. The romantic view from the bay windows across the river Shannon’s estuary, to the hills of county Clare, is breathtaking. For larger parties or events our Grand Hall can comfortably seat up to sixty guests.
The professional catering kitchen
We use as much local and seasonal produce as possible so you and your guests can get a real taste of the west of Ireland and all it can offer. This includes seafood from Carrigaholt, Kerry lamb, Limerick beef and cheese sourced from our local producer Jim O’Brien. Our professional catering kitchen can provide for up to sixty people.
Irish Family Kitchen with Aga Range
Glin Castle also has a second family kitchen in the nearby wing. This kitchen is filled with Irish country furniture and an Aga range, offering a wonderful cosy atmosphere for our guests. We often hold cookery demonstrations in this kitchen such as traditional Irish baking.
